The United States' President Barack Obama has appealed to the opposition Republican Party, to back his plans, to boost the US economy, ahead of a major speech to Congress on Thursday. The US economy has stalled recently, with no new jobs created in August.Speaking at a labour day rally in Detroit, he said he will announce measures to get America, back to work including a major building programme for roads and bridges.
