<br/>US President Barack Obama today announced a massive investment to create a chain of high-speed rail corridors across the US. Addressing a joint meeting with the Vice President, Joe Biden, and Obama announced an initial investment of 8 billion dollars in projects across the country. The announcement will not only boost the job market but will also decrease dependence on road and airlines network. Biden said 8 billion dollars is just the seed money as there are proposals worth more than 55 billion dollars from 50 states all across the country. He said these investments are aimed to improve existing rail lines and to pull cars off the road, reducing congestion, cutting pollution, and increasing productivity.
