Obaidullah Hockey: Air India lifts the title

Last year's runners-up Air India have lifted the International Obaidullah Khan Gold Cup hockey tournament title. In the final played in Bhopal last night, they beat defending champions, Indian Oil Corporation 4-3. At half-time, the winners led two-one. Punjab and Sindh Bank took the third spot in the tournament after beating ONGC 3-2 in the play-off match. Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave away the awards. Winner Air India returned home with a cash prize of 21 lakh rupees and a trophy. Runners-up IOC received a cash prize of 10 lakh rupees. Air India's Shivendra was adjudged man-of-the-match, while Gurjinder was declared man-of-the-tournament.
