The admission process for Nursery admission for schools in the national capital will start from 1st of January next year and will be completed by the end of March. This was announced by Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely at a press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday. He said that the guidelines for regulating nursery admission for schools have been finalised by the Directorate of Education for the coming session. Outlining the sailent features of the guidelines, he said that 25 per cent seats have been reserved for students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections category and rest of the seats will be for general category students. The Minister said that as per the guidelines the schools are free to frame their own criteria for different categories in conformity with the guidelines but they will have to inform the Directorate of Education with the details of such criteria and give wide publicity to the same.
