Telangana State government has claimed that the number of reported COVID cases has come down as expected and rate of positive cases has reduced to 4-5 per cent from the 23 per cent in June this year. Director Medical Education Dr Ramesh Reddy and Director Public Health Dr Srinivas Rao informed this to a media conference held in Hyderabad today. They said, only 15.4 per cent cases are currently active and fatality rate has come down to 0.58 per cent.<br />''<br />''The senior officials in the state Medical and Health department said the number of COVID cases came down considerably in GHMC area as expected and rest of the state during the past two months following strategic increase in Testing. They further informed that the recovery rate has surpassed the national rate of 83 per cent.
