In Tamil Nadu, the number of new cases of COVID-19 remains almost flat for more than a week. In the past 24-hours, 1,908 people tested positive for the disease. Nearly 1.46 lakh samples were tested yesterday, according to the media bulletin issued by the State Health Department.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, the department is dispatching vaccines to the districts based on the sero-prevalence rate. Its results show that, about 66.2 per cent of the samples collected from the public across the state had the presence of the antibodies. Subramanian told reporters yesterday in Chennai, more vials of COVID-19 vaccines are being sent to such districts where the number of people with the antibodies is comparatively less, so that the spread of the virus could be contained effectively.
