<span style="color: #222222;">Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has said that Digital India has added more internet subscribers to rural areas in the last three years from 2019 to 2021. Speaking at an event in New Delhi, Mr Thakur said, the reason for this increase is due to dedicated digital drives through Bharat Net project and telecom development plans. He said that there has been a  two hundred per cent increase in rural internet subscriptions between 2015 to 2021. Mr Thakur informed that the number of internet users in the country has surpassed 700 million and the country has seen enormous growth in this area. </span><br />
