The number of Indian tourists visiting Sri Lanka has increased considerably despite dip in overall tourists visiting the island nation.<br/><br/>Data released by Sri Lankan tourism bureau today said tourist arrivals from India grew by 26.6 percent last month to 34,481 compared to a year ago. <br/><br/>The overall tourists from India have gone up by 6.1 percent to 267,601 so far this year. <br/><br/>However, tourist arrivals to Sri Lanka were down by 2.3 percent in September, the second dip in three months. <br/><br/>The biggest dips were seen in the European and Chinese markets. German arrivals fell by 15.1 percent while Chinese arrivals were down by 14.3 percent. <br/><br/>Indians account for the largest tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka followed by China.
