Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has appealed to the public to unite with the Government in the battle against Covid. In a video message to the people of the State today, he said that the number of covid fresh cases had declined drastically from 7000 to 2000 in capital city Chennai after the implementation of the full lock down measures imposed by the Government from the 24th of May.<br />''AIR correspondent reports that Chief Minister explained that lock down measures cannot be extended for a long time as economy needs to be revived soon. Listing out the various initiatives accelerated by the Government which was three weeks old, Stalin said that atleast three lakh people were vaccinated and a total of one lakh seventy thousand RT PCR tests were done everyday. <br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said that to encourage and acknowledge the selfless sacrifice of the medical fraternity and also to give hope to those patients who were recovering from the pandemic, he had visited the Covid patients ward by wearing a PPE suit. Appealing to the people to unite against Covid, he said that protecting oneself by following the regulations of the Government will be the only way to overcome the present situation and also an assurance of returning back to normalcy.</span><br />
