In UP, the number of flood affected villages has mounted to 800 even as the major rivers continue to recede. Bright sunshine along with humid heat is tormenting the people as there was negligible rain in the state during past 24 hours. Three people died in a drowning incident in swollen Saryu River in Gonda on Monday. With this the death toll in rain and flood related incident has mounted to 130 in the state. The state government has provided 21 Crore Rupees for rescue and relief works in the affected districts.
