Number of fatality and positive reports of COVID tests continue to rise in Manipur

<span style="color: #222222;">In Manipur, the situation of COVID-19 pandemic remained grim due to high number of fatality and positive reports during past few days. During the last 24 hours, 10 persons expired due to COVID-19 in the State escalating the total fatality to 273.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On the other hand, 160 persons were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases among the 2,407 total number of samples tested during the last 24 hours. The total count of positive cases so far in the State reached to 24,910. All the cases are locals and do not have any travel history. They are suspected to be infected through local transmission.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">One hundred and ninety eight persons were discharged in the past 24 hours in the State and the recovery rate still stagnated at 85.91 per cent, much lower to the national average.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">So far, Manipur has recorded a total of 21,401 recovered and discharged cases while the number of active cases is 3,236.</span><br />
