Customers with Post Office savings can now operate their accounts from more than twenty thousand branches as they have been connected with core banking facility. In a tweet, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, the number of Core Banking branches of India Post Office touched 20,106 today. He said, it had only about 230 such branches in May 2014. <br/><br/>Implementation of Core Banking Solution is part of the IT Modernization Project of the Department of Posts (DoP) that aims to bring in various IT solutions to the post offices.
