<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, the number of Active covid-19 cases crossed one lakh mark yesterday. According to the State Health bulletin&nbsp; 1,01,782 active patients are treated for the viral infection across the State with the addition of&nbsp; 8,811 new Covid -19 cases reported yesterday.&nbsp; During the same period&nbsp; 5,417 people recovered from the disease and were discharged from various hospitals in the State. The State recovery rate is 80.51 percent.&nbsp; 86 covid patients lost their life and the total fatalities have increased to 8,503.&nbsp; The state conducted 67,857 covid tests yesterday and the total number of tests have increased to 45,86,780.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In an important decision yesterday, the Karnataka government slashed the charges fixed for testing Covid-19 samples sent by the government to private labs from 1,500 to 1200 rupees.&nbsp; It also slashed rates for testing Samples of patients who directly approach the private laboratories. The prices were brought down to 1600 from the earlier rate of 2,500 rupees. The cost is inclusive of PPE kits, screening and confirmatory tests.</span><br />
