Nuclear power output recorded an increase of over 3 per cent between April 2015 and February this year. It is to be increased further. Answering questions in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh said the government has set a target of generating about 4800 mega watt nuclear power by 2024. More nuclear power reactors will be added to increase the capacity, he said.
