NSG trained commandos deployed to ensure security of historic Sreepadmanabha Swamy temple

In Kerala, the NSG trained commandos of the state police have been deployed to ensure security of historic Sreepadmanabha Swamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The Supreme Court had on Wednesday directed videography and photography of the ongoing inventory of valuables including jewels, diamonds, etc. from the treasure trove discovered inside the chambers of the temple. AIR correspondent reports, one more underground cellar closed for 150 years and believed to contain priceless items will be opened soon. Meanwhile, experts from Delhi belonging to the Archeological Survey of India, National Museum Institute and Research Laboratory for Conservation have postponed their visit to the temple for a few days.
