The National Security Guard (NSG) will set up an exclusive high frequency signals centre for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in New Delhi as part of its strategy to secure the sporting extravaganza. Official sources said the signals centre would be set up in proximity to a Games venue and would maintain communication between the personnel deployed, the force headquarters and the NSG garrison in Manesar. NSG Director-General N P S Aulakh said, a team of NSG commandos specialised in anti-sabotage operations and sniper skills will be taking the entire Games related exercise under its cover. The commandos will be divided into special groups to perform static as well as mobile guard duties during the Games, which will witness athletes and delegates from at least 30 countries in October next year.
