The National Security Guard, NSG will make their debut in the Republic Day parade this year. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi today, Deputy Parade Commander, Major General Rajesh Sahai said, a contingent of UAE soldiers will also march down the Rajpath during the Parade Ceremony, where Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi will be the Chief Guest.<br/><br/> He said, it will be the second time when a foreign contingent will participate. Major General Sahai said, 15 Marching contingents of Armed forces, Para Military forces, NCC, NSS and NSG will participate in the ceremony.<br/><br/>Last year, the French marching band had joined the parade in honour of Francois Hollande, who was the chief guest at the Republic Day Parade. Talking to AIR, Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Suwaidi of UAE, said, it will be a unique experience for the UAE contingent to take part in the republic parade.
