<span style="color: #222222;">The Union Government today said, 14 lakh 48 thousand 790 poor Scheduled Caste persons have been provided loans by National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation, NSCFDC. Thirty lakh 69 thousand 427 poor Other Backward Classes persons have been provided loans by National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, NBCFDC as of date.<br />''<br />''In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment A. Narayanaswamy said, over 5,779 crore rupees has been disbursed by NSCFDC during the period from 1989-90 and upto 30th June this year. He said, the amount disbursed by NBCFDC as a loan during the period from 1992-93 and upto 6th of this month. The Minister said, the money was actually utilized by the poor people to buy those things for which the money had been intended.</span><br />
