National Savings Certificate (NSC) and Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) will now be issued in electronic mode with government deciding to discontinue the system of pre-printed paper certificates. Finance Ministry said the existing system of physical pre-printed certificates for KVP and NSC has been discontinued from 1st of April this year and will be replaced by certificate on electronic mode. However, till the Core Banking System transits to that e-mode, banks and post offices may choose to issue a physical certificate recorded on a passbook.
