In Uttar Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI on Wednesday filed second charge sheet against four persons in connection with multi crore National Rural Health Mission scam in the state.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that CBI has alleged that Dr. Ram the then Director General Health of the state was responsible for violating tendering rules for procurement of medicines and medical equipments for upgradation of 134 Primary and Community Health Centers in different districts.The CBI has included two jailed senior officers of the state government Abay Kumar Vajpayee and Sanjeev Kumar from Kanpur and medicine supplier from Muradabad Sourav Jain in this second chargesheet. The probe agency has not included names of jailed former BSP Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha and BSP MLA RP Jaiswal in its second charge sheet. Both are lodged in Dasna jail in Ghaziabad. The case pertained to hospitals for an amount of above 13 crore rupees.The CBI had filed its first charge sheet on Tuesday against seven persons including five senior officers from UP Jal Nigam and two suppliers of medicines and medical equipments.The CBI had earlier registered five Preliminary Enquiries relating to alleged irregularities in the execution and implementation of NRHM funds in the State its inception in the year 2005-06 till November, 2011 on the directions of the Allahabad High Court.
