More than 3.37 crore households have benefited under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The Cabinet last week gave its nod for the Mewat district to be benefitted under the 15 point programme for minorities. <br/> <br/>AIR Correspondents reports on the implementation of the scheme in Mewat which is the most backward region of Haryana and has a large Muslim population. Momin Khan's sons are among several people in one of the villages in Mewat who were able to get to work under NREGA. <br/> <br/>Momin Khan says that they no longer have to take loans and life has become much easier. What is more he says that under the NREGA scheme water pipes were laid and the problem of water in his village is now not as acute as in other parts of the district. <br/>
