In Jammu and Kashmir, the Rural Development Department is organising awareness camps under National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) programme in various districts. Hundreds of local population is participating in these camps where necessary training and general awareness is being given to the masses about the NREGA programmes and other rural development schemes like 'Sarav Gram Swarojgar Yojana' (SGSY), Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY), Total Senitation Campaign (TSC) and Intigrated Watershed Development Programme (IWDP).<br/><br/>As per the current statistical data in the entire state, so far 11,405 works have been taken out of which 3,552 works have been completed and 7,853 works are in progress.
