In Britain, the police on Friday arrested former editor of the News of the World Andy Coulson, who was also former media chief to British Prime Minister David Cameron, and the paper's former royal editor Clive Goodman on charges of corruption. Clive Goodman had previously been jailed for hacking the voicemails of Prince William and Prince Harry.A third man, aged 63, was also arrested at Surrey in connection with the corruption allegations.The corruption claims refer to alleged improper payments to police officers by the News of the World when Mr Coulson edited it from 2003 to 2007.Mr Rupert Murdoch's son James made the shocking announcement that the 168-year-old News of the World would close amid allegations of phone hacking and corrupt payments to police.
