The Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry has announced a 27 per cent reservation to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the allotment of dealership of Petrol Pumps.In a statement issued in New Delhi, it said the selection process for petrol pump dealership had been revised, applying the reservation policy as per constitutional provisions. The ministry said with a view to improve transparency and remove discretion in the selection process, the allotment of petrol pump dealership would be made by draw of lots.
