Novak Djokovic takes on Frenchman Gael Monfils in the men's singles semi-final clash of the 2016 US Open today. Defending champion Djokovic of Serbia has benefitted from a walk over by Jin Vesely and two retirements with Mikhail Yaizhny and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga pulling out during the game. Djokovic and Manfils have faced each other twice during the US Open in the past with the World No. one winning both the encounters. Monfils has come into this clash enjoying one ofl the mostl successful seasons of his career so far. The other semi-final men's singles clash will be between Stan Wawinka and Kei Nishikori.
