Top seeded Novak Djokovic edged past Swiss Roger Federer last night to win his second Men's Wimbledon title and seventh career Grand Slam. The match went into the decider set and Djokovic shattered Federer's dream of a record eighth grass court title, with score card reading 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 5-7, 6-4. Victory allowed the Serb Novak Djokovic, to end a run of three successive defeats in Grand Slam finals. Defeat for 32-year-old Federer, ended his bid to become the oldest Wimbledon champion in the Open Era and of breaking the record of seven titles he shares with Pete Sampras.
