In Bihar, notification for the first phase of Lok Sabha Election was issued yesterday. Polling for six seats will be held on 10th of next month in the first phase. It will cover Sasaram, Karakat, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada and Jamui.
With the issuance of notification, filing of nomination for these constituencies has also begun. Candidates can file their nominations till 20th March while scrutiny of nomination forms will be held on 21st March. Candidates can withdraw their nominations upto 24th March.
In Assam, notification for the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls will be issued today. Polling for five seats will be held on 7th of next month in the first phase, which will cover Tezpur, Kaliabor, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur.
The Election Commission has set up a toll free phone number 1950 to lodge any polls related complaints.
On the other hand, the Income Tax Department is also keeping eye on movement of cash and other items suspected to be used for bribing voters.
The Directorate of the Income Tax has opened a round the clock control room and complaint monitoring cell with a toll free number of 1800-3453619.
In Tripura, notification for the Tripura (West) Lok Sabha constituency for the first phase of election will be issued on Friday.
Candidates can file their nominations till 20th March while scrutiny of nomination forms will be held on 21st March.
Candidates can withdraw their nominations upto 24th March. Over twelve lakh forty six thousand voters will excercise their franchise on 7th of next month in the first phase.
