Haryana Backward Classes Commission, which met under the chairmanship of Mr. Retired Justice K.C. Gupta in Chandigarh on Wednesday decided to issue a notice through the press to Jats, Jat Sikhs, Rors, Tyagi and Bishnoi communities or any other caste to send their request to the Commission within one month for inclusion of their caste in the list of other Backward Classes of the State. While stating this at Chandigarh, a spokesman of the Commission said that the Commission had met to entertain, examine and recommend the request of communities for inclusion in the list of other Backward Classes of the State and to hear complaints of over inclusion or under inclusion of any Backward Class in such a list. It is to be noted that Chief Minister Bhupender Singh Hooda had promised the JATS to set up a commission for considering their demand for reservation in the OBC category, to end the Jat reservation stir in the state.
