Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd today pledged to get to the bottom of the unnatural death of an Indian toddler, who was on a holiday there with his family. Terming it a really horrible story, Prime Minister Rudd said, if this is a case of murder, there is nothing worse than the brutal murder of a little child. He said, the authorities are investigating it and expressed confidence that the authorities will get to the bottom of it.

His comments came as police said the autopsy failed to determine the cause of death of three-year-old Gurshan Singh Channa, whose body was found on the side of a road in Melbourne's northern suburbs six hours after he disappeared from the family home on Thursday.

Back home, the External Affairs Minister Mr.S. M. Krishna informed the Rajya Sabha that three year Indian boy Gursharan Singh was first kidnapped and later his body was found in the outskirts of Melbourne in Australia. The Minister assured the House that Indian Consulate has extended full help to the family.
