Nothern India shivers under severe Cold wave conditions

The entire northern region continues to shiver under biting cold conditions and chilly winds. In Rajasthan, mercury dipped below zero degree at few places. Met. Department said that lowest minus two degree Celsius temperature was recorded at Fatehpur in Sikar district. Churu was also shivering with minus one degree Celsuis. Night temperatures fell to 0.3 in Pilani, 0.6 in Ganganagar and 1.4 in Mount Abu.

In Punjab and Haryana, people have no respite from cold wave conditions as the minimum temperature recorded in the region today is below three degree Celsius. Our Jhalandhar correspondent has filed this report:

In the national capital Delhi, the minimum temperature plummeted to 2 degree Celsius and maximum 20 degrees.

Cold conditions continue in Uttar Pradesh though bright sun shine for last two days brought some relief. Fog has ouucred in few isolated places helped to improve road transport services though several trains are still running behind their schedule.
