Noted Bhojpuri and Urdu nationalist poet Adeel Abbasi Jami died this morning in a hospital in Azamgarh district after a prolonged illness. He was 80. He has many Bhojopuri and Urdu poetry collections to his credit like ‘Apni Dharti Apne Geet”Dharti ka Chiragh'' and ‘Lahre Acharwa Dharti Ka’. <br/>He was felicitated many times by the State Hindi and Urdu Academies and was given the title of ‘Rashtra Kavi’. His was buried at his native place in Chiraiyyakot in Azamgarh this afternoon.<br/>
