Noted film producer and director of Odia film industry, Basant Nayak, passed away today morning at Bhubaneswar. He breathed his last at 0635 hours at a private hospital and was sufferring from prolonged old-age illness. He was 76. Basant Nayak had produced several successful movies during his long career. His first production-direction venture was “Naga Phasa” in 1977. He also produced hit movies 'Jahaku Rakhibe Ananta' and 'I Love You' and 'Don'. Basant Nayak owned Brajraj Movies, which is a known name in Odia film industry (Ollywood).
