Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra who passed away yesterday will be cremated in south Mumbai at 3pm today. Many prominent personalities and Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend the funeral. His body is kept at Yash Raj Studios for the people to pay their last respects. Bollywood celebrities including Rishi Kapoor, Subhash Ghai and Prem Chopra paid their respects to the legend at the Yash Raj Studios today.
Film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Karan Johar, Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Anil Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt also paid their tribute to him yesterday.
Chopra is known for making some of the best love stories like Daag, Kabhie Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni and Lamhe and action dramas like Deewar and Trishul. His latest film Jab tak Hai Jaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif is scheduled for a Diwali release.
