The NRI Affairs Minister of Punjab, Mr. Sewa Singh Sekhwan has taken strong notice of reported cases of exploitation of Punjabi girls being sent abroad for studies by the dubious travel agents. He cautioned parents not to fall in the trap of such agents. Addressing a press-conference in Gurdaspur, Mr. Sekhwan said, he is getting reports that taking advantage of their week economic condition, some of the Punjabi girls had been lured to even change their religion. He said, that he will request to the Chief Minister to take up this issue strongly with the Union Government so that Ministry of External Affairs could take corrective steps in this regard.<br/>
