Northern Railways’ Ferozepur Divison

Northern Railways’ Ferozepur Divison has cancelled six passenger trains between Ferozepur to Jalandhar due to submersion of railway track. The track is under water released by Bakhra Beas Management Board into the river Satluj. The water has been released to save the Bhakra reservoir from exceeding the danger mark due to heavy flow of rainy water in it from the hills. Divisional Railway Manager , Ferozepur Division, Vishilesh Chaubey told AIR Jalandhar Correspondent, that Satluj water has affected the railway line from Ferozepur to Gidder Pindi village in Jalandhar district.
