Northern India steadily recovers from cold weather

Northern India is steadily recovering from cold weather with rise in mercury. On Monday maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-4oC in parts of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, northeast Madhya Pradesh, southwest Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states and near normal over remaining parts of the country.<br/><br/>The national capital recorded maximum temperature at 23.6 degree Celsius and minimum at 07.3 degree Celsius. Strengthening of northwesterly winds over Indo Gangetic plains are expected from 3rd February.<br/><br/>MET department forecasted low/medium clouds to remain over parts of northwest India and Arunachal Pradesh.
