North Korea will send a delegation to the Winter Olympics to be held in South Korea next month. The announcement came as the two Koreas met for their first high-level talks in more than two years at Panmunjom peace village in the demilitarized zone at the border. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters after the meeting, South Korea's Vice Unification Minster Chun Hae-Sung said, Pyongyang has proposed to send a high-level delegation, comprising of athletes, supporters, art performers, observers and journalists, to the Games.<br/>The long-stalled talks were held after North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un indicated in his New Year's speech that Pyongyang was willing to send a delegation to the Games. Seoul responded with an offer of a high-level dialogue, and last week the hotline between the neighbours was restored after being suspended for almost two years.<br/><br/>Seoul's Unification Ministry said, South Korean negotiators have proposed holding military talks to discuss preventing accidental conflicts and reunions of separated families. The Ministry suggested that family reunions could take place next month when Koreans celebrate the Lunar New Year. The talks are expected to continue today.
