Heat wave conditions remained unabated across North India with above normal temperatures at most places. Rajasthan continued to be under a heat wave. Our correspondent reports that mercury crossed 45 degree Celsius at Churu in Rajasthan yesterday. Intense heatwave continued in Punjab and Haryana with mercury settling up to eight notches above normal in some parts of the two states. According to the Met department, other places registered day temperatures ranging between 36.4 degrees Celsius to 40.5 degrees Celsius. The capital Delhi saw a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius yesterday. The humidity level in the national capital ranged from 26 per cent to 46 per cent.
