Alwar was the coldest place in the state with a minimum temperature of 0.3 degree Celsius, followed by 1.5 in Sikar, 2 each in hill station Mount Abu and Churu, and 2.2 in Sriganganagar.<br/><br/>Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh also remained under the spell of intense cold, with Narnaul recording the lowest minimum temperature of 0.2 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures hovered between five degrees below normal to one notch below normal in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.<br/><br/>The cold wave also tightened its grip on Kashmir with the night temperature in Srinagar dipping slightly to settle at the season's lowest of minus 6.2 degrees Celsius. <br/><br/>The national capital witnessed another cold morning today with the mercury dipping to 4.2 degrees Celsius and high humidity levels reducing visibility to 400 metres. <br/><br/>The minimum temperature was recorded three notches below normal, while the humidity was 100 per cent.
