Cold wave continued to sweep North India.
The national capital Delhi recorded the lowest temperature of the season. The minimum temperature fell to 3.3 degree celsius this morning. Delhiites are likely to experience chilly Christmas eve with the weather office forecasting a drop in the minimum temperature.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand is in the grip of severe cold wave.
The intensity of cold has increased with the night temperature coming down below normal in hilly areas. One person reported killed in Nainital due to cold.
In Uttar Pradesh, severe cold conditions continued, but the bright sunshine yesterday brought some relief. Shallow fog at many places in the state caused late running of several trains.
In Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh there is not much respite from cold wave conditions and fog.
