North India continues to reel under intense cold wave conditions with mercury plummeting to several notches below normal at many places. <br/><br/>Dense fog in the northern parts of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan affected rail, road and air traffic. <br/><br/>The Railways had to cancel 36 trains, reschedule 30 while 85 trains were running late due to fog across the northern region.The MeT Department has predicted similar weather conditions for the next 48 hours.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Delhi recorded the season's lowest temperature at 4.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature settled at 4.2 degree Celsius which is three notches below the normal. <br/><br/>While the maximum temperature was recorded at 20.8 degree Celsius which is one degree above the normal. The weatherman has predicted moderate fog in the morning and clear sky in the day for tomorrow. <br/><br/>The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover in the range of 20 degree and 5 degree Celsius.
