North India continues to reel under Cold wave

With an increase in the minimum temperature in both Punjab and Haryana, there is some relief from the cold during day. However, temperature during early morning and late evenings remains low. Adampur recorded a minimum temperature of 3.1 degree celsius and Narnaul in Haryana a minimum of 3.3 degree celsius continue to be the two coldest places in this part of the region. Amritsar recorded a minimum of 3.4 and Ludhiana 3.7 degree celsius. Chandigarh recorded 6 degree celsius. AIR Jalandhar correspondent reports, according to the met department the increase in minimum temperature is due to moisture in the air. It was another chilly morning for the national capital today though the minimum temperature rose by one degree. The minimum was recorded at 6.4 degree Celsius, two degrees below normal, as against the season's coldest of 5.2 degrees yesterday.
