A day-care centre for cancer treatment and chemotherapy was started in North Bengal Medical College from today. The minister of State for Health Ms. Chandrima Bhattacharya inaugurated the centre through Video-conferencing. She said that, people of 6 districts of North Bengal will get chemotherapy worth one lakh rupees per year, free of cost at the centre. The Minister of State also said that, this facility will in turn be extended to other medical colleges of the State also.
