The normal train services between Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Barak Valley of Assam with the rest of the country have resumed on Monday. According to railway sources, the running of both passenger and goods trains on the 214 kilometres long metre-gauge hill section of the Northeast Frontier Railway resumed after ten days.Train services on Silchar- Lumding section were suspended from 8th of this month following damage to railway tracks by massive landslides caused by heavy rains.
