In Manipur, normal life has been partially restored today in the flood affected Jiribam Sub-Division of Imphal East district. However, some areas of the sub-division bordering Assam have been remained inundated by flood water overflowed from Jiribam River.In the flood affected Jiribam Sub-Division of Imphal East District, one of the four persons taken away by flood water is still untraceable while the other three have been successfully rescued. The District Administration has opened 17 relief camps at differentlocations of the Sub-Division to give shelter to the flood affected people. About 1200 families are taking shelter at the relief camps. The relief camps will remained open for another four days. Giving a sigh of relief to the flood affected people, the water level of Jiribam River is steadily decreasing.
