In Uttar Pradesh, the normal life has been paralysed due to heavy and incessant rain for past two days in various parts of the state. The rivers Ghaghra, Ganga and Yamuna are still in spate at several places. The river Ghaghra has gone below the danger mark in Ballia but the Ganga is still about two metres above the danger mark. In Ghazipur, the level of Ganga has started receding but several villages are still inundated in flood water.
