In Nepal, normal life in nine eastern districts was affected today due to the bandh called by the Tharuhat Autonomous State Council and the Federal Limbuwan State Council.Entire market areas, academic institutions have been shut down and transportation has come to a grinding halt along the East-West highway due to the bandh. The Tharuhat Autonomous State Council called the strike to protesting against the four-point deal inked between the UCPN (Maoist), CPN-UML and Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum.Earlier, the Council had called to burn the copies of the agreement in public as a protest.
