Normal life continued to hit following Telengana strike

In Andhra Pradesh, the normal life in Telangana region continued to hit following on going general strike called by Telangana Joint Action Committee. The bus services and power supply are worst affected as the Government employees, Singareni Coal Workers and teachers are taking part in the agitation for statehood. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the police authorities to step up security at all important government offices and provide security to the employees attending duties. Meanwhile, the state has been purchasing power every day by spending 10 crore rupees to meet the shortage of power production due to Singareni Coal workers strike. The two week old Telangana General Strike also started hitting IT industry in the state. Some of the multi-nation companies in Hyderabad learnt to have issued advisories to their employees to work from home.
