Normal life remained affected in Puducherry with rain continuing unabated for the sixth day in succession today. Till 8.30 this morning, Puducherry and its suburban areas recorded 4 cm rainfall.All schools and colleges in Puducherry and Karaikal regions remained closed.Chief Minister V Vaithilingam had told media that a detailed report on extent of damage in the rains in Puducherry and Karaikal regions was being prepared and it would be sent to the Home Ministry for assistance.
