In Jammu and Kashmir, normal life across Kashmir remains affected on the 10th consecutive day. The curfew is in force in 9 districts of the valley. In Srinagar, the curfew like restrictions have been imposed in sensitive areas under 6 police stations including Maisuma in uptown. The death toll of civilians remains at 38 during the prevailing law and order disturbances. Police and para military personnel have been deployed in strength to maintain law and order. <br/><br/> In view of the prevailing situation, the government has extended the summer vacations in schools and colleges upto 24th of this month. Barring BSNL post-paid telephone and broadband internet services, all private mobile telephone services have been snapped. Mobile Internet and train services continue to remain suspended across the valley for the past 10 days now. Over one lakh 72 thousand pilgrims had darshan of ice-lingam at Amarnath cave till yesterday evening.
